On a blustery summer’s day, it was time for a spot of lunch in one of London’s newest eaterie’s and 2 Michelin starred chef Tom Aikens latest venture, Tom’s Terrace, at Somerset House. Probably not the best day to eat at an outdoor restaurant but I braved the elements anyway. From a very limited menu I had Coronation Crab with mango to start and then a steak sandwich with the crispiest chunky chips. Apart from the occasional flying rocket leaf, the food was appetising although a little pricey for such a simple menu and nothing I hadn’t tasted before. Thankfully the chips saved the day.
