River Cafe co-founder Rose Gray dies

It's with a sad heart that I report this week the death of River Cafe co-founder, Rose Gray. After a long battle with cancer, she finally died on Sunday 28th February 2010. Rose founded The River Cafe restaurant with her partner Ruthie Rogers and between them they created an outstanding eaterie producing simple, delicious food from Italy. The River Cafe held a Michelin star since 1998 and created a platform to launch the careers of the likes of Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall. More recently both Rose Gray and Ruthie Rogers were awarded MBEs in the 2010 New Years Honours List. Our thoughts go out to her family and partner, Ruthie.
